Step #1: Trigger an Emotional Response

People don’t buy based on logic.

They buy based on emotion and then justify the decision afterward.

So, before you talk about compensation plans, commissions, or product benefits…

You need to make them feel something.

The magic question to ask:

👉 “Picture yourself 6 months from now… what would be the thing you’re most happy about?”

Why does this work?

Because our brains are wired to chase pleasure and avoid pain.

When your prospect visualizes their ideal future, it forces them to think about what they actually want.

And if what they want aligns with what you offer?

🔥 Boom. The door is open.

Example (Real NetWave Scenario):

We ask this question all the time on strategy calls.

Let’s say we’re talking to a busy mom who’s burnt out working a 9-to-5.

She says, “I’d love to be home with my kids and not feel guilty about missing out on their childhood.”

Now we have an anchor.

When we introduce NetWave’s model (which gives people freedom and financial security), we tie it directly to what she already told us she wants.

It’s not about the money. It’s about what the money can do for her life.

And now she’s emotionally invested.

Step #2: Trigger Their Logical Brain

Now that we’ve tapped into emotion, it’s time to bring in logic so they can justify the decision to themselves.

The next question:

👉 “Because you told me that you’re looking to [insert goal], wouldn’t it make sense to [insert logical step]?”

Example (Real NetWave Scenario):

Going back to the busy mom example…

👉 “Because you told me you want to be home with your kids while still making a great income, wouldn’t it make sense to have a business that lets you work from anywhere?”

We took her own words and framed our opportunity as the only logical solution.

She can’t argue with it.

Her brain goes, “Well… yeah, that does make sense.”

And we’re one step closer to closing the deal.

Step #3: Trigger Their Survival Instinct (Reptilian Brain)

Now, here’s where we seal the deal.

Humans are driven by two things:

✅ The desire to gain something
❌ The fear of losing something

And while pleasure is nice, the fear of staying stuck is way more powerful.

The final question to ask:

👉 “What would happen if you don’t fix this issue for the next 6 months?”

Now, instead of thinking about how great their future could be…

Your prospect is forced to consider what’s at stake if they don’t take action.

Example (Real NetWave Scenario):

For our busy mom…

👉 “If nothing changes, what will life look like 6 months from now? Will you still be missing your kids’ big moments because you’re stuck at work?”

At this point, she starts thinking, “I can’t keep doing this. I have to change something.”

And now she’s selling herself on making a move.
