And let’s be real… nobody likes cold DMs.
❌ They feel spammy.
❌ They get ignored 99.9% of the time.
❌ They make you look desperate.

So what’s the better way? WARM OUTREACH.

Why Most People Fail in Network Marketing Outreach

Here’s what most distributors do (and why it doesn’t work):

1️⃣ They DM complete strangers.
People don’t know you. They don’t trust you. They can smell a pitch from a mile away. They ignore you.

2️⃣ They try to close too soon.
Imagine proposing marriage to someone you just met at a coffee shop. That’s what you’re doing when you pitch without building trust first. Instant rejection.

3️⃣ They don’t build real authority.
If people don’t see you as someone who can help them, why would they even reply?

Instead of chasing prospects, what if you attracted them?

The Warm Outreach Playbook (How I Built Trust First)

I followed this 8-step framework to bring leads to me.

✅ Step 1: Write Value-Driven Comments & Replies
Most people write basic “Great post!” comments. Not you. You’re going to add insight, expand on the idea, or share your personal experience.

Example: If someone posts about struggling to recruit, I’d comment:
👉 “I used to struggle with that too. Then I switched my strategy to attraction marketing instead of cold pitching. The shift was night and day. Happy to share if you’re interested!”

Now I’ve positioned myself as someone who knows the solution.

✅ Step 2: Don’t Just Respond—Add to the Conversation
Don’t just agree. Give a new angle. Tell a quick story. Drop an insight that makes them stop and think.

✅ Step 3: Find Your Ideal Prospects in Others’ Comments
People engaging on other leaders’ posts are already interested in what you offer. Start showing up where they are.

✅ Step 4: Prioritize Engaging with Your Ideal Prospects (ICPs)
On your posts, reply first to people who could be great fits for your team. Keep the convo going.

✅ Step 5: Engage with New People Every Day
Warm up new connections before you ever send a message.

✅ Step 6: Track Your Warmest Prospects in a Sheet
I have a simple Google Sheet where I note:

  • Who I’ve engaged with
  • How many times I’ve interacted
  • Who feels most ready to reach out

✅ Step 7: 5-10 Interactions BEFORE Sending a DM
I never message someone before at least 5 warm touchpoints.
By this point, they know me, like me, and trust me.

✅ Step 8: When I Finally DM, It’s Not a Pitch—It’s a Conversation.
No “Hey, are you open to an opportunity?” (That screams sales mode.)
Instead:
👉 “Hey [Name], I loved our convo about [topic] the other day. What’s been your biggest challenge with [pain point] lately?”

I start a real conversation. They reply 99% of the time.

🔥 Familiarity is already there.
🔥 They already see me as valuable.
🔥 I’ve earned the right to “sell”—so it never feels like selling.

The truth?
Your ideal prospects aren’t ignoring you because they don’t need what you offer.
They’re ignoring you because you haven’t built enough trust first.
