A $100,000 mistake.

And the worst part?

I could have avoided it with a single conversation with someone who knew better.

Seriously, just one conversation… and I would have saved six figures in wasted time, energy, and cash.

A few years ago, I was scaling my business fast.

I had big goals and was ready to make some serious moves.

At the time, I was rolling out a paid traffic campaign to drive leads and sales. Everything seemed straightforward.

But there was one small problem…

I needed a way to track whether my ads were actually turning a profit.

Simple enough, right?

Well, that’s where things went horribly wrong.

Throwing Money at the Problem

I talked to a few software vendors, but none of them could give me the tracking solution I needed.

So, like any ambitious entrepreneur, I decided to build it myself.

💰 I hired CRM experts.
💰 I hired developers.
💰 I hired analytics specialists.
💰 I threw a ton of money at the problem.

And after months of burning cash and effort…

I finally had a custom-built tracking system, perfectly integrated with Google Analytics.

There was just one problem…

NONE OF IT WORKED.

Yeah.

I had built this beautiful, expensive, high-tech solution—

And it was completely useless.

The Harsh Truth: I Didn’t Fully Understand the Problem

I thought I knew what I was doing.

The experts I hired thought they knew what they were doing.

None of us actually understood the real problem.

Most people try to save money by figuring things out themselves.

But the smartest entrepreneurs invest in mentorship and coaching—because it actually saves them years of wasted time.

Think about it:

Would you rather spend 5 years struggling… or just pay someone who already has the answers?

Step 3: Take Fast, Imperfect Action

Stop waiting for the perfect plan.

Start taking fast, messy action.

Success isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about moving quickly and adjusting along the way.

Because at the end of the day…
